DO NOT USE - MARIE JUGE - SCULPTEUR - RAKU
MARIE JUGE, mineral seamstress, creates silhouettes of materials. She is inspired by Haute Couture and the textile world. She plays on a balance between the rough of RAKU and the delicate lace in her Parisian workshop.
MARIE JUGE offers us a real theater of improvisations. The sculptures stand out with their earthy tones and the strength of the materials. This self-taught artist, winner of the Paul Belmondo Prize at the 2007 Salon d'Automne, works instinctively and does not hesitate to break academic rules to create her own volumes. Some of his pieces with fluid contours tend towards abstraction while others, with thick and sinuous reliefs, seem to take root in the ground.
