Egg-shaped sculpture of lacquered limewood, eggshell and gold leaf. The precisely calculated hollow interior captures and reflects rays of light, giving it a soft glow as if lit from the inside. Minute pieces of eggshell, meticulously placed on the outer surface, evoke the greater galaxy. Influenced by early 20th century masters such as Majorelle, Gallé, the artist takes the essence of the organic art nouveau curves and makes a transcendent leap into refined 21st century minimalism.
