We are proud to introduce our new collection in collaboration with Cosi Tabellini, a family-owned factory specializing in manufacturing a world-renown range of hand-crafted pewter, located in Lombardy, Northern Italy.
The collection was inspired by the northern nature and culture: its deep forests, slow chanting of folk songs, snow cracking underfoot, long travels by a cold river toward a far-away home where the fire in the oven is kept lit, where you are expected and welcomed. Diverse textures of the collection’s pieces seem to be carved on wood surfaces by frost and icy wind. Warm glow of pewter awakes the memories of a home, smiles of loved-ones and a wonderful meal waiting at the end of a journey. The wooden components of the pieces in this collection are manufactured from oak wood, solid and durable material that reveals its beauty as it ages. Treated with water and salt, oak gradually turns deep dark color. In this collection, the wood is presented in a remarkable combination with pewter, perhaps the very first metal the mankind started using for making crockery. Having been used universally across Europe as staple material for tableware, candlesticks and other items for centuries, this ancient metal is highly regarded in contemporary times as it allows to produce innovative and elegant objects, marrying the heritage with the freshness of 21st Century design.
