A+A Cooren
A+A Cooren is a Paris-based French-Japanese design studio founded in 1999 and run by husband and wife team, Aki & Arnaud Cooren. A+A Cooren designs interior spaces and products on limited edition as well as on industrial scale, aiming to delight everyday life. With a simple Japanese-Nordic design aesthetic, A+A Cooren seeks to integrate a subtle reference to nature into everyday interiors and objects. A+A Cooren designs interior space, craft-work and industrial objects, with a complementary design philosophy. With ongoing research into simplicity of manufacturing and ease of use for the final user, A+A Cooren believes that creating a good product is the outcome of teamwork between the manufacturers or craftsmen, and designers with a high demand for quality work. A+A Cooren creations are produced by Artemide, CFOC, Habitat, Metalarte, La Redoute, Tronconi, Vertigo Bird, Yamagiwa, etc. A+A Cooren also designed the flagship store for Shiseido Europe in Paris (2002), the L'Oréal Haircare Research Center (3000m²) in St.Ouen (2011), the gallery of Sèvres_Cité de la Céramique in Paris (2013) and wallpaper showroom for Bien Fait in Paris (2015).
