Henrik Dybdahl worked as a distributor for a number of primarily UK based design companies selling their products in Scandinavia. He started after a business school course in Germany where he found some unusual products never before seen in Denmark. He sold this company in 2007 because he wanted to pursue new interests and opportunities. From 2006 to 2011, Henrik studied at the Royal School of Library and Information Science in Copenhagen (now part of University of Copenhagen) ending with a master’s degree. Simultaneously he had an art gallery called Helvetikat in Copenhagen, exhibiting upcoming street artists focusing on illustrative collages and paste ups. Besides running the gallery, he did a number of large projects involving public space art alone and with friends in Copenhagen. To interact with even more people, Henrik decided to bring the art/archive world into a business, setting up a graphic company called THE DYBDAHL CO. designing, producing and publishing strong images. He now lives in the village of Torslunde very close to the company with his wife Maria and their daughters Dea, Vigga and Linnea. As of August 2020, a team of 10 people work together to fulfill the vision of the company and at the same time creating a workspace full of meaning, responsibility and joy.
