The story of ICHEON’s ceramics goes back 1000 years, and the city has been home to numerous workshops supplying the royal palaces throughout history. ICHEON continues in this tradition, using its rich resources and infrastructure to become one of Asia’s most recognizable city for ceramics. More than 400 workshops operate in ICHEON today, fueled by the creativity of modern ceramicists and master craftspeople who have dedicated their lives to protecting and improving Korea’s traditional ceramics culture.
