DONGJU art products are made of natural materials such as “옻[ot]”, which means natural lacquer in Korean, and mother-of-pearl through complex traditional techniques that are inspired by Korean history and literature. Our time-consuming, labor-intensive goods are carefully crafted through a repetitive process of drying and polishing many layers of lacquer. The last layer is inlaid with mother-of-pearl. The materials used are naturally sourced without additives or chemicals. DONGJU goods are created with much passion and skill using the finest and purest materials.
