The works created by Qubus, the studio that Jakub Berdych co-founded 16 years ago, reflect a distinctively Central European sarcasm in their commentary on the world around us, contemporary lifestyles and prejudices, and various forms of nationalism. Jakub Berdych’s designs challenge conventional ideas about materials and even objects themselves as they blur the boundaries between usability, functionality, appropriateness and expressiveness.
