CAMILLE TREHOUT CERAMIQUE
Vibrations, shadows, contrasts, rock formations, dust, water, snow or ice. Curves, softness, ridges, peaks, fragments, sheen, depths, transparencies... I am inspired by the poetry of landscapes and their re-imagining through the medium of my art.
My pieces oscillate between two ideas: existing as unique pieces and suggesting an elsewhere, creating dreams, or simply by serving as everyday functional objects. I work in porcelain and stoneware, fired at 1270° or at 1020°. I use various minerals collected on walks or given to me by friends, in the making of my enamels. My methods are environmentally aware: I use natural raw materials containing the fewest metal oxides, these oxides being dangerous for the environment.
