The roots of SUZUSAN lie in the Japanese town of Arimatsu, where we have been refining textiles with the traditional SHIBORI technique for over 100 years. Now in our fifth generation, we regard SHIBORI as a cultural heritage that we must uphold. In order to stop the decline of the SHIBORI craft that has been witnessed over the past five decades, we are attempting to give the technique a new, contemporary relevance through the development of new and innovative procedures and modern creations.
