Unique or custom-made pieces in which the metal is worked like sheets, which are superimposed and folded to create hollowed out volumes, to play on the light and to multiply the field of possibilities.
Each production tells the story of its production. The philosophy 15DIXIEME is to do everything by hand, where industrialization had robotized and erased all traces of humanity. David Mugot does not use numerically controlled or automated machines. The sheets are patiently brushed to give the metal a weft, a reading direction. They are sometimes cut by freehand. There may be roughness, traces, which contribute to the life of the piece and its uniqueness. The metal thus worked is a warm, living material, capable of covering everything from the wall to the ceiling.
