NOUSAKU

Casting is a manufacturing process in which a molten metal is poured into a mold to form an object of the desired shape. Hand-finishing by experienced craftsmen accentuates its material beauty and fineness.

Founded in 1916, Nousaku is based in Takaoka, Japan. Takaoka city is famous for metal casting in Japan since the 17th century. Originally a manufacturer of Buddhist altar goods and traditional Japanese tea sets, Nousaku now makes beautiful home goods using techniques passed down through generations.
