MARIE LOUISE SORBAC
Soul and matter About twelve years ago she put her hands in the earth for the first time. She gives shape to her need to create by meeting with various materials: wire mesh, metal, wood, plaster...
Marie Louise Sorbac was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on 15 March 1959 to a French father and an Argentinean mother. She studied at the Lycée Franco-Argentin Jean Mermoz and grew up among four brothers and sisters in a family of three generations of collectors and decorators. She works her animals first in clay and then in plaster for her animal collection. Published in bronze, she calls it "Absolutes" and the second one "Aerials". Simple, pure and essential forms where roundness and sensuality are present. Marie Louise Sorbac's work is concrete and structured.
