Paulo Simões, a 13 years old boy that became an upholsterer apprentice at the Jaurés Upholstery Workshop.
Forty-six years have passed since the first day Paulo grabbed a broom to wipe the floor of Jaurés Workshop. He is now the father and master teacher of REAL’s founder, Nuno Simões, who created REAL in September 2021 to exalt all the craftsmanship traditions in a new world, opened to reinterpret them towards imbuing each piece with a soul.
This is the power of a thoughtfully designed piece that is entirely made by hand by people with a centenary knowledge.
