KELSCH D' ALSACE IN SEEBACH
"Kelsch", an Alsatian heritage, traditional fabric made of noble textile fibers, linen, hemp or mixed, checked or striped on an ecru background. An authentic collection made by hand, in a short circuit, and eco-responsible.
It was Charlemagne, from the 8th century, who was at the origin of the color “Cologne blue”, a dye for kelsch. Traditionally, this textile was used as household linen. Today we also find cotton and linen kelsch called “Métis” for interior decoration, curtains, bedspreads, towels, etc... The “KELSCH”, authentic and precious, is the one which has red and/or blue checks on an ecru background crossed by stripes. Nowadays, all combinations of colored threads are possible; they allow a wide variety of patterns and colors.
