'A day in the forest' is the name of a project started by Kazuto Yoshikawa, an artist and a designer. The project utilizes sustainable wood from mountains in Mie prefecture where some of the forests are owned by TOYOTA. TOYOTA are working on environmental preservation, and are also promoting proper use of forests for harmonious coexistence of nature and humans. The mirrors are manufactured by a local picture framer, Since establishing in 1946, they have always wood for their picture frames. Through highly skilled craftsmanship of bending wood and gold leafing, timeless design are achieved.
