Our creative platform's name, BI・WA・KOTO (or 美・和・事 in Japanese), resembles that of the great lake, and is a reinterpretation of lake Biwa's beauty (美 - bi), harmony (和 - wa) and matter (事 - koto).Biwakoto X, crossing, is a way to introduce craftsmanship in Shiga prefecture to the world, and a place for the intersection of unique and outstanding skills, materials and products, all nurtured in the blessed region.
