ALICE RIVIÈRE

Young multidisciplinary artist (Drawing, Ceramics and Tufting), passionate about decoration, my influences range from art brut to Art Déco time. My work highlights soft and modern shapes filled with kisses and tenderness.

I create ceramics like sculptures halfway between 2D drawing and 3D. I practice the tufting technique which democratizes the creation of carpets. This allows me to create personal rugs with a unique design that combine clear line drawings and colorful touches. Today my work aims to transcribe this new technique into volume via the creation of tufted sculptures which take on super playful and colorful shapes. For each of them, I rigorously select the colors of the threads that I find exclusively at Emmaus.
