Mathieu Challieres' work is twofold: on the one hand, his series creations, including the Volières, iconic lighting fixtures that have enjoyed timeless success. On the other, limited editions and one-off pieces: plaster fixtures, mirrors, sideboard.

Mathieu Challieres has been developing a highly personal approach to design for over 20 years. Publishing only his own drawings, his work can easily be described as eclectic, though with a predilection for lighting. His limited editions and one-off pieces are often in plaster, using a personal technique that gives him great freedom of expression. But he also creates pieces combining gouged oak, straw marquetry, leather or earthenware. Highly appreciated by specifiers, his creations are also presented in design boutiques and galleries, at Brafa, Pad.
