Paulownia furniture AZUMA co.,ltd. is a family company based in Wakayama since 1891 which exclusively uses Paulownia wood. Known for its resistance against fire and insect, it has been used for chest drawers in Japan to protect precious kimonos which passed on generations as family treasure. Each piece is made with the traditional joinery wood techniques which requires perfection of meticulousness. We continue to make the traditional chest drawers but also offer new brands such as SAMA, a contemporary and unique chest of drawers which its shape, size and finish can be playfully chosen.
