Four decades of decorative arts shaped by the audacity, poetry, and visionary spirit of Avant-Scène.

In 2026, Galerie Avant-Scène celebrates its 40th anniversary and launches “The Soul of Forms,” a year-long, four-part celebration bringing together the artists who have shaped its history. Since 1986, under the vision of Elisabeth Delacarte, the gallery has championed an audacious and poetic approach to the decorative arts. Elizabeth Garouste revisits the gallery’s origins, Franck Evennou reveals its baroque and poetic dimension, Hubert Le Gall explores the transformative power of materials, while Mark Brazier Jones, joined by new artists, will imagine a surreal future.
