Atelier scralan stands for contemporary robust ceramics, completely handmade. The studio has a wide variety of models and glazed according to its own recipe. The ceramics are built from scratch, without preliminary sketches on paper. In clay, I can shape whatever I desire, much like freeform writing with clay. I use clay with a high content of chamotte which guarantees the solidity of the pots. The ceramics are fired only once, so no cookie firing which reduces the consumption of electricity. Good for mother nature!
