ATELIER TALASIN

Atelier Talasin is a visionary, new natural dye and weaving studio based in the foothills of Morocco's Atlas Mountains. Founded as a woman-led cooperative, its mission is to refine and develop Morocco’s rich heritage of rug weaving.

Atelier Talasin's sustainable agenda is to wholly preserve, revitalize and elevate ancient craft techniques from harvesting the fibres to the weaving and dying of the material, honouring every step in developing an entirely unique and ethical product. Talasin seeks to revive the ancient Berber knot, to regenerate a local flock found only in the Atlas Mountains and to honour the earth by dyeing only with local plants. This is activated at the source by a community of 50 female weavers, and with them a transparent and ethical supply chain of farmers, harvesters and artisans.
