For over 75 years our company has been the leading manufacturer of traditional hand-crafted "masu" boxes in Japan, made from Japanese cypress trees.

"Masu" has been used as a measuring container for food, such as rice, for 1300 years, and has become widely acknowledged as a vessel for serving sake, as well as a symbol of good luck. Inspired by the history of the Japanese "masu" finger jointed box, our collection offers a flexible range of stackable storage solutions or wooden decorative interior for everyday life. All pieces are handmade from fast growing, environmentally ethical "hinoki" softwood. Wake up every day to a hint of fresh evergreens in the air and enjoy the crisp scent and smooth, soft touch of hand crafted cypress trees.
