Between figurative strength and contemporary minimalism, Caroline Cutaia shapes clay as one would create an image, giving rise to objects that carry stories, imbued with meaning, light, and emotion.
Caroline Cutaia, a Marseille-based artist and ceramicist, combines figurative strength with contemporary minimalism. She shapes clay as one would create an image, bringing to life objects that tell stories and captivate the eye. Her Habiter en vacances collection, composed of porcelain postcards and plates, immerses us in landscapes meticulously glazed, while her waterless vases explore the fluidity of twisted stoneware. All her creations, handcrafted in small series or made-to-order, invite viewers to see figurative forms in a new light.
