The brand name TSUKI, which means the moon in Japanese, comes from the unique pattern of the surface texture which looks like the craters of the moon. These patterns vary on eachcup and dish. We primarily are roof tile makers in Niigata, Japan. These particular patterns are produced by being fired in a kiln which also fires rooftiles. From a rooftop to your hands_we started to make dinnerwares because we hope that you will feel closer to rooftiles.
