CARAPAU is a 100% Portuguese home decorative brand. Creating contemporary and high quality products with focus on sustainable design, color and reinvention of traditional Portuguese raw materials.

CARAPAU creates handcrafted home products which combine ancient erudition with a contemporary design. It was created and designed by Rita Faria and Tiago Couto, two Portuguese graphic designers who decided to create a project in parallel with their graphic design studio. All products are handmade in their studio in Portugal. CARAPAU also works to protect endangered species and landscapes: 3% of each animal purchase is given back to wildlife conservation organizations. They believe sustainable businesses can help to change the world.
