KISHU+ is a new Japanese lacquerware brand from Wakayama prefecture Japan. KISHU is the name of local Wakayama prefecture, originated in old Edo period.

KISHU LACQUERWARE : Kishu lacquerware is one of the four major lacquerware producing area Japan with AIzu,Yamanaka and Echizen. LIBERAL CRAFTSMANSHIP : Historically, aiming more easily use of lacquerwares, Kishu lacquerware is continuing to incorporate modern technologies earlier than other local producing areas. CRAFTSMAN AND MODERN TECHNOLOGY : Keeping great respect for traditional hand craftsmanship, we are challenging to go forward with more liberal approach and incorporating modern technology. These things aren’t a replacement for hand craftsmanship but a challenge to further extend it.
