GOVOU is a textile brand that focuses on beauty, simplicity and sustainability, to create something of true value. Our goal is to create timeless pieces, each with a durable individual story.
GOVOU FABRICS works with antique linen and hemp fabrics. These linens originate from grain sacks that were produced over 100 years ago on European farms. Each grain sack was handwoven from hemp and decorated with a distinctive pattern of stripes and a few with hand-stitched monograms, in order to show which farm it belonged to. These textiles are by nature extremely eco - friendly as they were naturally made from homegrown materials. Today at GOVOU FABRICS, we recycle these textiles and produce individual pieces that show off the pure craftsmanship of past generations!
