Carlos Fernández-ARDAVIN created these clocks inspired by the first mechanical clocks that appeared in the Middle Ages. His daughter, María, continues with the medieval clockmaking trade.

Studying the existing bibliography about the mechanics of antique clockmaking, Ardavín has created clocks that are not a copy of any original design, but have the same works as gothic clocks, identical mechanical systems and materials, using the same techniques as at the time,
