Varni craft. Reason is to help people reduce poverty, unemployment and the inequality of women in the community. The development of Thai local wisdom in the community is the craft of woven basketry which from the local plant named Krajood.

About Varni craft: Varni craft are a community enterprise group based in Phatthalung, Southern Thailand. It was founded to provide a reliable source of employment for the community of over 100 families, as well as to encourage creative craftsmanship. Using sustainable Krajood (Grey Sedge) weed as material, Varni combines traditional local basketry craftmanship with modern design to bring Phatthalung craftmanship to a wider audience.
