Fish tail cotton rug

The simplified motifs and trendy colors of our latest rug collection make them easy to fit into any decor. The sturdy, heavy weight handspun cotton yarns contribute durability and softness. These rugs were handwoven by master weavers in Luang Prabang, Laos, using the interlocking tapestry weaving technique where the weaver works without the aid of a pattern on the loom! The motif is inspired by similar patterns seen on Lao sinhs, or skirts, although on a smaller scale. Our weavers have taken these traditional designs and woven them in much larger proportions creating striking bold designs.
