Product description
The Tai Lue people of Laos have been making indigo dye for centuries. The dye is made from the Indigofera tinctoria plant, which is grown in the mountains of Laos. The leaves of the plant are crushed and fermented to produce a deep blue dye. Tai Lue handicrafts are known for their rich color and intricate designs. In keeping with all things natural, Tai Lue cotton is harvested and processed only by hand making it ultra soft and luxurious. This large cotton textile can be used as a shawl, throw, or a runner.
