Artist; Tsujii, Keiun. Hanging scroll. A Japanese translation of a poem by Jules Laforgue, a 19th-century French poet, has been crafted into a calligraphic artwork. While the original French words are beautiful, the Japanese translation has a noble, elegant resonance. Inspired by this text, the artist envisions transparency and nighttime’s silent music, expressed in delicate, balanced lines. The central kanji, part of the word 'infinity,' is linked to Zen philosophy, adding a contemplative quality appealing to those drawn to the Zen mindset.
