Product description
Springtime delights. When the first bulbous plants emerge from the still partly frozen ground in early spring, a smile comes to even the most winter-weary faces. Their small, cheerful-looking flowers bring with them a huge amount of joy and inspiration. Minna Niskakangas painted the Helmililja pattern using the traditional tempera technique, in which egg is used as a binding substance for the colours. This painting technique, familiar from icon painting, is characterised by a subtle translucency that creates extremely beautiful, delicate details. Minna composed a flowing, pastel-coloured floral pattern on both a dramatic dark grey and a sky blue base colour. With curtains, cushion covers and table setting textiles from the Helmililja collection, you can bring art home in the form of textiles.The dark grey Helmililja Runner is 100 % cotton and 43x160 cm in size.
