These two carpets are inspired by compositional works using torn paper collages, a distinctive technique that fosters a mythology of the unconscious, which holds great personal significance. This approach is spontaneous, yielding expressive and unexpected visual results. It creates a bridge between art and craft, particularly connecting the Chinese paper-cutting tradition, Jiǎnzhǐ, with the Fantasy Cutting of Danish author Hans Christian Andersen.
