The round-the-clock sunshine makes not only the flowers but also the people take full joy in the most beautiful time of the year. Lasse Kovanen used watercolours to paint Lapland's plants on a surface reminiscent of an early summer forest floor in bloom. The blue and white colour scheme gives the pattern a Mediterranean and Nordic feel at the same time.
