With its nicely rounded buttocks, this ceramic horse embodies the unique charm of KASHIWACRAFT. Made in the Seto workshop, one of the six ancient ceramic fireplaces in Japan, this ornament is made by slip casting, an artisanal method requiring patience and precision. Each piece is then hand-glazed with an original glaze that reacts to the local red sandstone during firing, creating natural variations. Each horse is a unique piece, conveying expression and poetry, the result of more than 60 years of expertise.
