Grandma Chair recreates late 20th-century China's urban childhood. Brutalist playgrounds' geometric forms left lasting memories. Its orange beechwood recalls southern homes, while the rotating backrest echoes elders' prayer beads. For me, it evokes grandmother's murmured chants - a rhythmic lullaby wrapping childhood in timeless safety. Carrying this nostalgia, we designed the Grandma Chair in hopes of building a perceptual bridge between the collective cultural memory of public structures and the deeply personal recollections embedded in domestic objects.Product specifications
