It features six variations inspired by legendary French pavilions from the Universal Exhibitions. At a time when the arts merged—again, far from any commercial logic—to produce unique and experimental creations, porcelain was invited onto walls, wood became foliage, metal was sculpted, and forms were systematically geometric.
