The Merce Sacra series, conceived by Daniele Accossato, includes sculptures that reinterpret the great classics of Italian culture, forcing them into new poses. Accossato’s exceptional sculptural skill transforms materials such as Jesmonite, adhesive tape, rope, bubble wrap, pallets, and wooden crates into unique, entirely hand-crafted works. These creations embody the commodification of art: pieces imprisoned, sold, and transported, in a dialogue between form, material, and concept.
