Founded in 1652 in Tokyo, DOMYO is a historic braiding company specializing in Kumihimo, a traditional Japanese craft used for garments and accessories such as imperial court costumes, sword knots, and obi belts. Long associated with the imperial family, DOMYO has also reproduced national treasures for museums. Committed to preserving this ancient craft, each piece is entirely handcrafted, from silk spinning and dyeing to braiding. Today, DOMYO shares the beauty and history of Kumihimo through modern, wearable creations.
