The Renault Supercinq GT Turbo, launched in 1985, is a sporty version of the Supercinq. This high-performance city car evolved in 1987 with aesthetic and technical changes for even sportier driving. Fitted with a 1.4-litre turbocharged engine producing 115 hp (phase 1), then 120 hp (phase 2), it reaches 200 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8 seconds. Today, the Supercinq GT Turbo is prized by collectors and enthusiasts, ranked among the great French youngtimers. Our toy model represents the phase 2 version. Note the bumpers and wings, better integrated into the bodywork, as well as specific wheels. With its light weight of 830 kg and its power, it delivered impressive performance for its time.
