The Mercedes 300 SL (W198) was unveiled at the New York Auto Show. Considered one of the first GTs, it helped popularize sports cars beyond the racetracks where they were traditionally confined in 1954. Following a request from Max Hoffman, an Austrian-American car dealer, Daimler-Benz decided to produce this 300 SL as a series model. Derived from the racing 300 SL (W194), it incorporated technical and styling changes. The 300 SL (W198) stands out for its legendary design and "Gullwing" doors, faithfully reproduced on our model. This model is presented in its famous metallic silver paint.
