The dune buggy embodies the quintessential Californian spirit. It was invented and developed by surfer Bruce Meyers, who wanted a lightweight, fun, and accessible vehicle that people could take to the beach. The model presented here reproduces a unique version customized by Con-Ferr. Painted in orange-red, it is the best-known version, made famous by Steve McQueen in the film The Thomas Crown Affair in 1968. The engine is now that of a Chevrolet Corvair, the headlights are flush with the body, the tires are wide, and the windshield is wraparound. The model is fitted with suspension.
