MATERIAL- Low pile, hand knotted carpet.- Wool base with viscose/wool pattern. All of Kiliim’s products are handcrafted, making each product unique. CARE- Carpet clean recommended. STORY 600 years ago during the Mamluk rule of Egypt, Persian weavers were recruited to produce carpets in a style foreign to them. Strictly symmetric and geometric designs birthed a Mamluk style unique to any other. Carpets set sail to furnish the grandest palaces including the Vatican and Al Hambra.This cultural exchange inspired the design our collection, borrowing the precision, expertise of past carpet makers and then disassembling and rearranging elements to create a new style, reflecting our rich past and mixed present.
