The chair is simple in appearance and comfortable. It has an organic shell-shaped seat. Originally, Legler developed the 'Basket Chair' for a restaurant in Italy. This 'Basket Chair' won the Good Design Award, awarded in 1953 by MoMA in New York. Since then, it has been part of the permanent collection of the prestigious museum.
