My artistic work follows two paths: I express myself not only through sculpture in the literal sense of the term, but also through utilitarian sculptural forms that I conventionally refer to as “containers.” What connects these two strands of my creative work is the material—my primary means of expression: CERAMICS.I refer to the utilitarian ceramic sculptural forms I create—such as vases, bowls, platters, jugs, chalices, and cups—as “containers.” This is the focus of my formal exploration. I experiment with form and color. My “containers” are also sculptures, even though they serve a utilitarian purpose.
