The "Tsumugi" reception or dining table draws its inspiration from a Japanese-American design lineage, achieving a rare elegance through pure, minimalist lines. Beyond its striking presence, it is deeply functional: the leg placement ensures unobstructed knee room for every seat around the table. Hand-crafted from solid black walnut of exceptional quality, milled from a single log for unmatched grain continuity, the table showcases the wood's natural character in its purest form. The main top rests on cross members joined with a long dovetail, while the tabletop itself unites two large walnut slabs, reinforced with structural keys inlaid directly into the solid wood, a technique as beautiful as it is enduring. Every joint reflects traditional craftsmanship: pegged joinery and mortise-and-tenon assembly throughout, finished in tung oil or varnish for a warm, natural patina that only deepens with time.
