The "Wharton" coffee table draws its inspiration from Japanese design and the American Studio Furniture movement (Wharton Esherick). Its simple, calming lines let the material speak for itself: the tabletop unites two pieces of walnut (black or royal), each carefully selected for the beauty of its grain, joined together with structural reinforcement keys inlaid into the wood.Traditional joinery throughout (pegged joints and mortise-and-tenon assembly) finished in tung oil or varnish for a warm, natural patina that deepens with age. 90 x 55 x 40 cm.
